“The impact of this collision has been quite significant. SES and CFA Rescue crews have worked extremely hard to assist Ambulance Victoria to extricate the patients”

South Barwon SES Volunteers assisted Ambulance Victoria to load the patient into the waiting Air Ambulance before being transferred to Hospital.

SES Volunteers remained on scene assisting Police with traffic control, and cleaning up of the scene.

2 SES Rescue Vehicles with 6 Volunteers responded to the incident.

“The Christmas Holiday Period sees a large number of cars on the roads, and it is essential that all road users understand the risks. Drivers need to be aware of the conditions, and drive accordingly. Driver Fatigue is a contributing factor in 20-25% of all fatal car accidents in Victoria” Mr Clark said

“SES are again reminding people to take precautions on the road to ensure a safe holiday period for all”
