News: One rescued from car rollover in Connewarre
One rescued from car rollover in Connewarre

On Wednesday 8th February, at approx. 21:00 HRS, South Barwon SES Volunteers were called to a car accident with persons trapped on the Barwon Heads Rd, near Breamlea Rd in Connewarre.
Once on scene SES were met with a single car that had rolled several times, trapping the driver in the vehicle.
South Barwon SES Commander Josh Hutton said “Due the nature of the casualties injuries, SES and CFA Rescue crews have had to use the "Jaws of Life" to remove the roof of the vehicle to extricate the driver” Mr Hutton said
“The impact of this collision has been quite significant. SES and CFA Rescue crews have worked extremely hard for approx 30 mins to assist Ambulance Victoria to extricate the patient" Mr Hutton said.
Two Rescue Trucks from South Barwon SES were responded to this incident.
Crews remained on scene to assist Police with traffic control and lighting.
